Now all this history brings us to a point. After all the years of passionate pursuit, doing all this for others as contractor and employee, we just said "Hell, let's do it for us" and lets do things differently and at the same time stick with many of those traditions that shaped us. Thus 1995 WINDY RIDGE DESIGNS was borne. Don't ask what the Windy stands for, it's a personal joke!

Why Windy Ridge? What's is the difference? What sets Windy Ridge apart from all other manufacturers is originality. While we compete favorably along traditional lines with some of products, many of our product designs are not to be found anywhere else. While we can offer a wide variety of western motif's, we have chosen to rise above the "Fray" of competing manufacturers beating each other up at the price point with the same similar products. Instead we decided to personalize our pieces, adorning them with precious gemstones, semi precious stones and karat gold. Though we may recreate certain designs as standard product offerings, no two are the same. Like a fine piece of jewelry (and because of the wide variety of stones from which to choose) each piece is to be identified with the individual who purchased them. The desire here (so to speak) is for a woman to go to a dance and not see another woman with the same dress on.

The selection of materials is carefully made, including heavy gauge sterling silver, solid karat gold, gold fills and the highest quality genuine and laboratory grown gemstones. We have a wide variety of precious and semi precious stones as well. Opals, Sugilite, Chrysocolla, Turquoise and Jasper just to name a few. Many of which are cut and polished right here at Windy Ridge. Finally last but certainly not least, the individually selected natural gold nuggets of our Gold Nugget collection.

What other differences are there? Well, check out the detailed engraving, the number of cuts and the depth of the cut. Notice the heavy beveled edges on the applied overlays and the fine textured backgrounds. Take note of the fine torchmanship, clean solder joints with no overflow of solder. Clear indications of skill and time well spent on each and every piece, but the big difference, all this having been said, is what you see in the finished product.
